Consortium Audits

All 24 Ohio College Tech Prep consortia are participating in an on-site review and improvement process which is designed to:

  • Help consortia measure service delivery and effectiveness
  • Identify consortium strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop processes and systems to improve consortium operations

 

With significant input from consortia stakeholders, consortia are asked to review operating standards and document current implementation.  Standards are organized under four broad areas:

  • Consortium administration
  • Curriculum development
  • Marketing
  • Transition to college

Self-assessment components

  • Consortium self-assessment based on 32 core operating standards identified in the consortium DACUM job profile
  • On-site review by a team of state staff and consortia directors
  • Final report including team rating on standards and recommendations for improvement

A summary report of the four main function areas includes key findings, strengths, weaknesses and improvement plans.  Consortia are asked to develop an improvement plan with timelines that will be incorporated into the multi-year strategic plan.  Consortia requiring significant improvement in one or more areas may be scheduled for a follow-up site visit.  Technical assistance is available to consortia.
