Program Application and Approval

All Ohio College Tech Prep programs are approved Career-Technical Education programs. The application process consists of two steps:

Submittal of College Tech Prep Intent to Offer Program Application by a College Tech Prep Consortium. This application is used for a College Tech Prep pathway that is new to the consortium and for an expansion of an existing pathway to additional sites within a consortium. 

Completion of a CTE-26 by the secondary school.  This document is approved by the appropriate ODE content consultant. 

 

A pathway template for both secondary and postsecondary components must be included.  Pathway templates:

Applications must indicate appropriate program codes based on the TCP curriculum and teacher certification.

Applications are reviewed by Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and Ohio Board of Regents staff.

DEADLINES 
Pathways new to consortium

November 30, 2005 for programs that will start in the fall of 2006. The program application must be submitted with preliminary pathway documents.

February 1, 2006 is the
final deadline for articulation agreements and pathway documents.

Program expansion


February 1 is the final deadline for programs that will start in the fall 2006. This application must include final articulation agreements and pathway documents.
