Development
Developing superior educators is an
essential function of Ohio College Tech Prep Consortia. Consortia
leverage collaborative relationships to offer resources and expertise to
support quality instruction:

Consortia and state partners are
committed to securing resources and expertise to offer professional
development opportunities focused on
pedagogy, technical content knowledge and College Tech Prep program
management.

Consortia, within their consortium or in
collaboration with regional consortia partners, sponsor
professional development related to topics such as contextual learning
strategies, teacher externships and student recruitment strategies.

Consortia sponsor educator participation
in state and national conferences related to College Tech Prep
and/or to the faculty content specialty. Examples include:
2005 Ohio School Improvement Institute
The 2005 Ohio School Improvement Institute will be held June 9-10 at
a new location at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. An informational flyer is
now available with details on conference topics, registration and hotel
fees.
